Selamat Hari Raya to everyone celebrating this joyous celebration! I've had my 1st session of Beraya this year at my boss' house on the 1st day of Raya. I have nothing to complain, the food was scrumptious, the company was great. Most of my colleagues were there.. I really enjoyed myself since this is the first time i went out Beraya with my colleagues. Anyhoo, after the eating session me and a few colleagues decided that the day was too early to go home so we went to the beach at Tanjung Aru. We went to this place called, Tanjung Aru Bridal House. It was kind of unique. Unique in a sense where the building itself appear to be old fashioned, which i like. It is still old fashioned looking inside and i even told my friend that this is how i'm going to have my house built one day. I like things with an old fashioned touch to it. Me and my friends went to KK on wednesday for lunch and the jam was crazy! why do people do their last minute shopping every year? It's the same thing every year for every occasion: Hari Raya, Christmas, Chinese New Year.. I promise i won't be one of those people shopping at the very last minute this year! Anyway, back to the story.. So we were at KK for lunch and since there were no parking available nearby the restaurant at Gaya Street, we ended up parking at KK Plaza and we walked ourselves to Gaya Street. We even had to park at the rooftop of KK Plaza! I wanted to take a decent picture of myself (camwhore style) but failed! the weather did not permit me to do so. As i was napping at the couch in the evening (at about 3pm) my sister came to our house with her kids and told me about her plan to go to the beach that evening. I was all in agreement about the idea so i woke up and got ready. The good news was, our parents were going too. It was a good time, since it was like, the first time in a long time we all rode together in one car. As soon as we reached the beach, i asked my sister to take my photo (she's using a Canon DSLR) because the sun was looking at its best. I didnt want to miss that moment.. I just look out the window from my office and all i can see is rain! it's raining really heavy as im typing now. I shouldnt complain. Maybe someone out there prayed for rain, i suppose? Showers of blessing :) Just a few hours ago me and my colleague, Nancy walked ourselves from Centre Point to Wisma Merdeka thinking it wouldnt rain since the sun was shining strongly this morning. When we were about to leave the mall, we were shocked to see the rain. Since it wasnt really raining that heavily, we decided to just walk back to Centre Point. The more we walk, the more heavily the rain got. hmm. So we decided to buy an umbrella. The small kind, the one you can fold. hehe.. By the time we reached Centre Point, both of us were soaking wet! haha.. But it's okay. I had a fun time despite the rain pour. Why? well it's because : 1. Today is the grand opening of F.O.S (Factory Outlest Store) at Centre Point, KK. Nancy told me about the free goodie bag that they are giving away to the first 1, 000 customers who walks in the shop. Me and Nancy went with our coupons just now and i did a little bit of shopping :) I was feeling down this morning (mad, sad, angry & confused to be exact) and retail therapy helped raise my spirit up a little bit :) (works everytime) I didnt bring my camera to work today so i had to use my phone camera. The new F.O.S outlet at the 3rd floor (Wiser's old place). It is claimed that this outlet is the biggest one in Malaysia. Really? There were lots of people there and this is only the ladies department ;-) I'm attracted to shirts with words (some call it, "Talking Shirts ") ive got a few at home and im still collecting! BACKPOST : This happened 2 weeks ago (7th March - 8th March 2009) Since it was a public holiday on monday me and a few friends (me, iuq, jeba, itah & harriet - itah's bf) decided to go to The Tip of Borneo at Kudat. They picked me up at my house around 5pm and had to go slow because it was raining cats and dogs. Since it was already night time when we passed Kota Belud, we decided to spend the night at Kota Marudu and make Tip of Borneo oour priority the next day. We arrived at Kota Marudu at around 8pm and had our dinner at Warung Kak Siti .. I had rojak ayam , since i never tasted Kota Marudu's rojak ayam . Not too bad i must say. Us at Warung Kak Siti. After dinner, we went to iuq's house and spent the night there. We had to wake up early the next morning as we plan to watch the sunrise at Simpang Mengayau.. KONON! hahaha. Since it's friday today, me and my friends went to Warisan Square for lunch (we usually eat in the pantry of our office, to save up kunun...). While on our way to the eatery we stopped by this stall selling cookies and cupcakes. The cookies were locally (Sabah) made and we tried some of them (they give out samples) and we bought those cute cupcakes. I didnt really want to buy the cupcakes but since the lady said "kalo beli 3, Rm1 satu" (the price was rm1.50 each). We met Grace at the eatery and had our little snacks after ordering our lunches.
