Image
I went wall climbing for the first time in my life last nite at Sabah Indoor Climbing Centre (SICC) at Likas. Before i went, i spend a good 1 hour or so at the gym - running. I told my friends i need to warm up first.. hahahah!! When i reached SICC, At first i was not really sure if i could climb it. But just after 1 shot of a climb, and i was hooked! I am so loving it.. gonna make it a regular activity in my life :) Starting... Getting chalk on my palms Climbing on A little bit more...... Yeay! i made it! These pictures were taken during my 1st climb. I climbed 3 more times after that. It was damn tiring yet challenging and i like it!! You can't believe how sweaty you'll get when you climb. I was dry when i climbed, when i went down i was sweating like mad. The whole group (minus fara who had to go back early) //pictures are not that good since it was taken using my blackberry :D but okaylahh.. still viewable

Operation Malaysia.

After MCMC's (Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission) action of blocking P2P (peer to peer) or file sharing websites listed below, came this warning from a famous P2P website, The Pirate Bay. Blocked Sites: 1. warez-bb.org 2. thepiratebay.org 3. movie2k.to 4. megavideo.com 5. putlocker.com 6. depositfiles.com 7. duckload.com 8. fileserve.com 9. filetube.com 10. megaupload.com My say on the warning (whether it is a scam or not) : Kotoh! baru tauuu!!! Come on lah.. you are taking people's basic right to freedom. Like many of you out there, i am also a huge fan of downloads. I'll openly say i download my music, movies, tv series but if you claim i download for free you are damn wrong. Like everyone out there I pay my internet bills every freakin month for what? a not-so decent connection line. Don't you feel like you've been ripped off?? I haven't met anyone who felt happy about this issue. If there is, there's seriously something wrong with you ...

The Busy Weeks.

Image
It's been very busy for us at work. Lots of things were happening.. hence, the lack of updates. We had the MQA thingy going on with our department, sending practical students to their respective places of practical (me, at Labuan) and then we had the MASISWA annual sports meet. But after all that... It's time to party!! What a relief it felt after everything has passed. Here are some of the pictures of the passed weeks. A small farewell party for Polli (the one poking her nose) with a bunch of close colleagues An appreciation lunch given to the committee members of the MASISWA sports carnival. We were the host this year :) (Memel, Dedel & April) Preparation of the MASISWA sport. This was taken at Kasih Sayang Resort at Kokol. Taken by MJK. Everything is back to normal now. I'm gonna post regularly from today onwards! It's friday everyone, Have a nice weekend!!

101010 Baby

Image
My sister is due to give birth today, 101010. I really hope she does because then, the baby can really be called Baby Ben10 since she's pregnant with a boy this time. My nieces are already referring to the baby as baby ben10 so it would be really cool if she does give birth on this day! I can't wait to see my 1st nephew! baby Ben10 hahahaha

Galactica Nite

Image
Last weekend, i was in KL for the company's annual dinner. The theme was GALACTICA NITE. Alot of people dressed up according to the theme but there were alot of people who also dressed up not according to the theme, including me! :D We arrived on friday and to be honest it was quite a rush. We reached our hotel at about 4pm and had to leave before 5pm (OMG!!) I planned to maybe get cleaned up first before dress and make-up but there was no time to waste. So as soon me and my roommates reached the room we laid everything out - makeup, dress, shoes. But we managed to get out of the room in less than 45minutes. AMAZING! My face, no make-up yet but hair all set to party! haha.. This was taken in the plane. 11-ish a.m The roomies getting ready. Mirror was small and there were 4 girls in the room. They should have had a bigger mirror. Ta-da! me all ready. Don't mind those wet spots on my dress. They were from the sink.. the water from the faucet suddenly went crazy when i accidently...

Visited By A (Local) Celebrity.

Image
Yesterday morning someone came to our office and it was a big surprise to us all. Who you ask? It was non other than Adam AF. At first all of us were like, "why is he here?" "what's his business doing here? he wants to enroll kah?" Well actually it turns out he happens to be the nephew of one of our work mate. That work mate of ours brought him to the college to meet his students. For what, i have no idea but everyone (students and staffs) took advantage of his presence there. Everyone wanted to take pictures with him. I am not a fan of him but he is a celebrity and it's not everyday a celebrity comes to the college. Okay, my boobs look extraodinary bigger in this picture. It looks like a G cup LOL! Honestly it's not that big. Maybe it's because of the turtle neck blouse and the color: bright pink!

We LOVE Sabah, No Matter What You Say.

Image
I was going to make a post of the Biggest Loser challenge at the office but it all changed when i saw how big the topic of a guy with the name Luca Lucas condemning Sabah on Facebook. One click led to another, i reached a facebook page called 'KAMI BENCI LUCA LUCAS KERANA MENGUTUK NEGERI SABAH' (TRANSLATION: we hate Luca Lucas for condemning Sabah) This is what i first saw last week but i didn't really gave much attention to it. I thought, ahh this guy just wants fame, this will go out in no time. Today, i was sent a link again. This time to this one: Is he an idiot or what? he dare say Sabahan doesn't use standard BM? Excuuuuuuuse me. We Sabahans say the most proper BM. Let's go back in time. Waaaaaaayyy back when we were in Standard 1. Did the teacher said S-A = SA, Y-A = YA.. SAYA or S-A = SA, Y-A = YE.. SAYE? Who is using the standard BM here? If SAYA is supposed to be pronounced as SAYE, im sure we all (Sabahans) would've known and be speaking Saye inst...

Happy Independence Day, Malaysia!

You know how i always go on and on and on about me loving the Philippines? but it doesn't mean that i love Philippines more than i love my own country.. it's not that i don't appreciate the sacrifices of the people who led us to independence. I am proud to be a Malaysian. Although i don't mention it often (but who does?) . I have been sick with the flu and thus i have sore throat. It's been going on for three weeks already. I couldn't stand the headache i had yesterday at work, i went home during lunch time i slept for a good 4 hours after downing 2 paracetamols. Luckily today is a public holiday! or else i probably would take another day off from work. Since today's a public holiday, i brought home some work to do - marking midterm/ test papers that are piling up at my table in the office. Most of my colleagues would just put them under the table so that it won't mess up the table. I would do that, but i'm just scared that i'll forget all about ...

The Importance of Proofreading.

Image
Last night after working out for 2 hours, i went to read some of the newspapers that was piling up at the reading table. I was reading through New Sabah Times when i came across the Entertainment section and it was all about Usher's recent concert in KL. The news spread on Usher's concert at Bukit Jalil Stadium. Can you see anything wrong? Ok, maybe it's too far.. How about now? Still No? . . . . . . . . . . . . Now can you see it?? LMAO!! Hahahaha.. Slow shits??? Don't they proof read their article before publishing it??

Evangelistic Meeting

Image
There is an evangelistic meeting going on in our church from the 9th of July until the 24th of this month. The speaker, Mr Pedro Moraes is a senior theology student from Sao Paolo University, Brazil. I have already attented twice. I couldnt attend monday's session because there was this flood thing. Last night, i didnt attend it again not because i didnt want to but because my parents were bringing the truck instead of the Vigo, i could drive my own car to church but i was kind of lazy to hehe. Cousin Beevy & I, after the meeting on friday. The aircond was super cold that night.. I was late that morning, so my parents left me (look at my face, i didnt even get to put on any make-up). luckily there is a 'second trip' that i could follow that morning. Posing outside of the church, right after service.. This niece of mine already knows how to pose! and she's barely 2! Look how feminine she could pose haha.. Here are the details just in case anyone of you are interest...

Going Home.

Image
In about 12 hours (more or less) i'll be going home! and i can't wait!! where is home you ask? let me give you a clue.. . . . . . . . . . . . . If you guessed Philippines, then you are correct! I will be in the Philippines (Manila to be exact) for a week and i am so excited. Although i go back every year, i still feel excited like the first time going there. I hate packing though, and that is why i just started packing this evening and it took me like, 6 hours to figure out what to bring and not to bring. I'm going to travel light (like i always do) because i know i'll come back here with an overstuffed suitcase. *wink* Oh, before i forget.. KOTOBIAN TADAU TAGAZO DO KAAMATAN! HAPPY HARVEST FESTIVAL TO ALL YOU ALL! Happy Holidays!!

Official BIM 2010 Time

Image
I just checked the Borneo International Marathon official website to see whether the time result has come out or not, and it's out alreadyyy!! As you all can see, my official time to finish up the marathon is 1 hour 25 minutes and 53 seconds. Hmm, i think i could've done better but it's ok lah for a first try :) I snapped a picture of my tired self right after i reached the finish line My colleagues and I with our medals With a runner from Kenya. He finished 2nd for the Full Marathon (42km) Our medals at a close-up, still wrapped in plastic hehehe.. It was a fun (yet tiring) experience! Gonna try the 21km for next year :)

Borneo International Marathon 2010

Image
..and i am one of it's participant :D After joining the KK City Run last month, i was determined to join the next marathon which is the Borneo International Marathon happening next month! I registered myself under the womens open 10km category yesterday evening. I have like, a month for training and at the end of this month i need to get myself a good new pair of running shoes. My old one has worn out. Some friends of mine suggest me to join the half marathon (21km) . I was like, "whhaaatt? are you kidding me?" hahahaa.. The first marathon i joined was 4km long so let me just take this marathon thing slowly. Who knows i'll be joining the full marathon next year? hahaha.. Just for your information the full marathon is 42km long (!!!) . Can you tell that im uber excited for this marathon? ♥ P.

Happy V'day & CNY!!

Happy Valentine's Day AND Happy Chinese New Year to all of you!! Yesterday I sang at my friend's wedding. Guess what? the music didnt want to co-operate with me! it decided to go bonkers on me at the church :( i was kind of sad it turned out like that but at the wedding reception, alot of people came up to me, thanking me and telling me how they liked my song even though the music went crazy. yeheayy!! :) I didnt stay long at the reception because i suddenly had a case of tummy ache and wanted to go to the toilet badly. Since im not a fan of public toilets, i went home hehehe. Unsatisfied with my performance at the wedding, i decided to record it in my room :) So here it is, Two Words: Enjoy! If you were wondering what ive been doing on Valentine's Day, i was busy enjoying the Chinese New Year Celebration. Yesterday (Valentines Day) happen to be the 1st day of Chinese New Year. AAAANNDDD it was due to the fact that i dont have any dates to celebrate Valentine's Day with...

So Wrong.

Image
I was typing my previous post when a friend of mine on ym sent me a link on facebook. So i clicked and this came out. OMG! This is so wrong. What is happening to our world? To our so-called 1Malaysia unity (konon!) ? Of all the comments, this one irked me the most: It would be my pleasure of displaying the person's name and profile picture but i wont do so. I do not want to cause any chaos towards the person even after posting such rude comment online. How can one say such things like this? I've been angry before but not to the extent of killing the person. This is just so wrong. Please don't join this group (MENENTANG PENGGUNAAN ALLAH OLEH GOLONGAN BUKAN ISLAM) on facebook, whoever on my list join this group i'll delete them. This is so wrong, it's disgusting to have friends who supports this group. ♥ P.

Song

Image
I just came back from church and i must say today's service was a really good one. Our local church pastor preached today about "People of Hope" and it was really a good sermon, short yet inspiring. I was one of the many singers who performed during the program.. the song that i choose to sing is entitled "Shepherd of My Heart" i dont have a clip of my singing because i forgot to ask my cousin to record it :-D Anyway, it was a good Sabbath. I feel blessed! Happy Sabbath to all.. God bless! p/s: i know all you all have heard the commotion that's being going on about the church burnt down by Muslim protesters, it is stupid.. we just better forget about the 1Malaysia thingy. Is that what you call UNITY ? ♥ P.

October Performance

My take on "officially missing you" "I belive i can fly" Bob's take on "Solitaire" So yea, basically these are the songs that we performed that night at Sutera Harbour on the 31.10.09 Enjoy ya'll! :) ♥ P.

Halloweeeeeeeeen!

Image
The bloodsucker and the witch ! hehehe... If you're wondering what i did on Halloween, well i was at Sutera Harbor the whole night emcee-ing with my good friend Bob at Sutera Harbor's Blue Lagoon where Baila Fitness' Arabian Retro Nights Dance Dinner Party was held. Actually we (me & my co-host) were on double duty: as mc AND performers. Bob sang "Solitaire", i sang "Officially Missing You" and then we sang a duet on "I Believe I Can Fly" :D Im so glad we performed so well last nite even without any rehearsals! It really means so much to me when people appreciate your craft. i got quite a number of compliments last nite hehe. Me loike! I recently found a new love which is PERFORMING! We have another event that is coming up in november (im keeping my fingers crossed on this one!) but we havent gotten the details about the event :) Just so you guys know, me and Bob recently just started to sing for events. So if you're looking for...

College Graduation

Image
This was taken last week after spending an hour in the saloon. I had to get my hair done because the college was having it's first convocation and me and my new-found BFF (bob!!) had the priviledge of performing at the event. Me and Bob sang R.Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" which i'll upload in my next post :D for this post, let the pictures rule! The auditorium an hour before the program start. Mr Bob a.k.a Mr J***** hahah My makeup was done by the talented Mr Bob. Thanks J, you're the best! :) Bob and I performing "I Believe I Can Fly" Some of the female lecturers and staff in our robes, before entering the hall. The male lecturers.. After the graduation, i took pictures with some of my ex-students :-/ i feel so old haha! Some candid moments... BFFs! :) p/s: the resolution of the pictures are not that good, it's because i resized them then i learned about how to make your pictures appear bigger in blogger. d'oh! it wont happen again in t...
