Eclipse, And The Dilemma Of Inception.

Image
It's 2.33pm and i just came back from the movies :-D yes, i spent my lunch break at the movies watching.. *drum roll* ECLIPSE!!! wooot wooott!! After the last installment of Twilight, i didnt think the next one would be nice that is why when Eclipse came out the same week as Despicable Me , I opted to watch the latter. OMG..OMG..OMFG!!! I HEART ECLIPSE! Let's not talk about New Moon because for me, it was a disaster. pffffttt!! I can't wait for the next installment of the Twilight Saga - BREAKING DAWN ! I think i know why i fell in love with Eclipse and not with New Moon . It's because i read New Moon before the movie and i know every part by detail (just like in the book) but when the movie came out, it didnt reach my expectations. So this time around, i didnt even bother finishing the Eclipse book. I only read half of it because i didnt want to get dissapointed again. I've got all four books laying neatly on my bookshelf but i dont think i'll be reading them...

Middle Eastern Food in KK

Image
Yes, there is now an Arabic fast food in KK called "Alladin". My bestie told me a week or so ago about this but only last sunday when i was at 1Borneo ( again) for a movie with my brother (we watched Watchmen) i saw this stall when we were about to make our way to the exit. I got all excited because i dont get to eat shawarma everyday.. and the closest shawarma is in the Philippines. I ordered one chicken shawarma and out of my excitement.. ..i got dissapointed. The shawarma wasn't the shawarma i expected it to be! :( I mean. in terms of how it taste. It looks like your regular shawarma but it taste awful. I felt like i was eating a chicken burger in the form of a shawarma!..The pita was too thick and i had a hard time chewing it. I did not like it at all. I wanted to fly to the Philippines that instant just for a shawarma. Alladin Arabic Fast Food.. thats the first and last time for KK middle eastern food for me The menu. I know it's hard to read from the picture....

Food Talk.

I meant to post this earlier, but as usual procrastination got the best of me. Last saturday, me and my cousins went to GSC 1Borneo to watch City of Ember at 11.30pm. We got there early, at around 10.15pm. So we circled around 1Borneo in search of food. Since it was late, every shop was starting to close down. When we stopped at California Grill, the first thing we asked was "mau tutup suda ka?" hahaha.. when they said no, we straight away went inside and this was what we ordered: Lemon tea for the three of us Ceaser salad Seafood pizza I enjoyed the food there, and i must say the price wasn't as expensive as i thought it would be..Ceaser Salad was RM10.90 and Pizza (regular) was RM19 After having supper, we went up to GSC and watched our movie. After movie, i was suppose to meet some friends at KK but when i texted them, they were already home and said that i was late hahaha. I told them i'll join them next time.. tomorrow never dies right? :) ♥ P.

The Twilight Zone

Image
Im gonna admit something here. Although i've had the e-books of Stephenie Meyer's highly acclaimed 'Twilight' for some time i havent seen the movie yet. Atleast until last night :D I wanted to watch The Amazing Race on AXN but my parents wanted to watch something else instead: The Academy Awards *sigh*. Ive got more than one telly at home but the thing is, only telly is subscribed to Astro. So i went to my room and decided to watch Twilight! (thanks Angel mandaakkk!!) OMG! i am so in love with Edward Cullen!! Me is gaga over edward cullen Since i read the book before watching the movie, i was quite dissapointed because there were alot of details that they didnt put in the movie. I just hope they wont do the same for New Moon. There's this one part in New Moon that i almost cried.. i wont say which part though :P read the book and you'll know which part im talking about hehe. Oh by the way Summit Entertainment confirmed to Access Hollywood that N e W M O o ...

Chosen To Serve

Image
I attended ASI (Adventist-Laymen's Service & Industry) 9th Bi-Division Convention at the Grand Season Hotel, Kuala Lumpur last week. The testimonials and sermons that were conveyed by the speakers really hit me. I was inspired and touched by them. The theme for the convention was "Chosen To Serve" I'll be honest, i actually didn't want to join the convention. My only plan once i get to KL was to do some shopping, shopping and MORE shopping. I have to thank my mom for forcing me into going to the 1st night of the convention (Thanks Mom!) The singers that performed at the convention all hebat-hebat belaka. Overall, i'd say the convention was a success. Oh, if you're wondering where i stayed during the convention (4th - 7th Dec), I stayed at Vistana Apartments. A short walking distance to the hotel. There were 10 of us who stayed under the same apartment and all of us was on time for every session of the convention. Some of the participants of the co...

The cover album is nothing that i imagine it would be.. if you havent seen it, here's a look at it: Ok, i'll admit i am a fan of Britney. Nice mah her songs hehe. I'll describe my taste of music as ECLECTIC . I listen to almost everything.. Ive also got Shontelle's album SHONTELLIGENCE . I wouldnt give thumbs up to it..the songs are quite boring. the only song in the whole album that catches me is the T-shirt song. I say Shontelle is a far cry from ella.. ella.. ella Rihanna. Why im compari...

My Vacation in Review

Image
I will not be posting any pictures in this post, because there's just too many pictures. I'll post it in the next post :-) Day 1 (6th Aug, 2008) All six of us (me, kenny my bro, angel, ivan, hester & chelster) headed for the philippines and arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected. It was drizzling when we arrived at the airport and on the way to Manila from Clark, it rained quite heavily. Luckily when we arrived at our place of accomodation, Friendly's guest house, the rain stopped :-) All of us had dinner at a small shop not far away from where we stayed.. the food was delicious, although we waited for like, 20-30 minutes for our food. Day 2 (7th Aug, 2008) Main activity was MALLING!.. at Robinsons, malate. Bought lots of clothes to wear for the whole week because i only brought 2 shirts (including the one i wore yesterday). all of us bought simcards, except Kenny and Hester, so that it will be easier AND cheaper for us to contact each other if we need to because all ...

Boys Don't Cry

Image
Ive recently watched the movie "Boys don't cry" which stars Hilary Swank. This is the movie which earned her an oscar for Best Actress in 99'. After watching the movie, it was surreal to think that this really had happened to someone in the past. Hilary Swank's performance in this movie was outstanding. She so deserves the golden globe and oscar that she won way back. When the movie ended, I came away from the movie realizing the courage you have to possess to be different, the dangers from it are real and we must admire those brave enough among us to be. This movie made me think about the sexual differences and what it means to have a sex change (or want one) or being trapped in a gender you dont want. Here's a plot summary i got from imdb.com : Based on actual events. Brandon Teena is the popular new guy in a tiny Nebraska town. He hangs out with the guys, drinking, cussing, and bumper surfing, and he charms the young women, who've never met a more se...

The year 2007

Image
2007 is ending and what a ride it was. It has been a great year for me, although there were some 'bumps' along the way.. so here's the good, the bad and my resolutions for 2k8. The Good 1. Finally finished aaaaalllll my subjects for my masters degree. so, meaning no more exams for me...yayyyy. 2. My car finally got a new coat of color and a new set of seats 3. Travelled to Macau, Guangzhou & Philippines 4. Went sky jumping in Macau 5. Met the band 'Tribe of Levi' in manila. Ive been adoring their song kaligahayan natin for a few years and zaq (the lead singer extraodinare) gave me their cd wooohooo.. 6. Finally had the courage to cut my hair after 2 years 7. Formed a new singing group at church..we're still nameless though but we received good reviews from people who has heard us sing :-D The Bad 1. Battled mild depression (i know this might be a shocker to some people because on the exterior i am all smiles, but yea.. i was depressed and the worst thing...
