Facing Life Storms.




I can see the storm approaching. As with any storm, it brings with it destruction, but also waters the fields; and with the rain, falls the wisdom of the heavens. As with any storm, it will pass. The more violent the storm. the more quickly it will pass.

I love books. Ive always been reading since like.. forever! My dad used to read me books when i couldnt read yet and when we were at the mall (while still in the US) i never fail to get me one of those Disney books. When we went back to KK, my parents will drop us off at the State library in KK every friday. Me and my siblings would borrow 3-5 books each to bring home and the house would be eerily silent at most time during the holidays because all of us will be in our rooms, busying ourselves with the books that we got from the library. I have carried the habit of reading until now. Paulo Coelho is one of my favourite writers of all time and this book, Like The Flowing River is an inspiring book. When i have a daughter someday, i am going to pass the book down to her

Holy?

It was a heated discussion that we had on facebook on religious issues. No, it wasn't between Christian and another religion but it was between Christian denominations. It all started by this boy, who at the end got a taste of his own medicine. As an Adventist, i respect other religion and also other Christian denominations. I don't go here and there proclaiming that i am in the right path and tell everyone to be an Adventist just because i believe i am in the right religion. Everyone, no matter in what Christian denomination they are, be it Catholic or protestants and also other religions (Muslims, Hindu, Buddhist) they all believe they are the right religion in the world but that doesnt give you the right to go condemning other people's belief. Kuching getaway (Day 1)

I have been wanting to get away from the hectic work life and studies since may. So this is it. A domestic getaway to Kuching, Sarawak :) Our flight to Kuching was at 8am on AirAsia. We arrived early, at about 9:15am. 10 minutes early. The first thing we did was went to the hotel to confirm our reservation of room & have breakfast. We were really hungry by the time we reached the hotel. The area that we are staying didnt have that much of eateries nearby. The hotel's frontdesk lady said we have to walk 10-20 minutes to the nearest eatery. We were searching for Laksa, by the way.  After walking not 10, or 20.. But 30 minutes!!!! We found an eatery at Chinatown. It was a small coffee shop (i forgot the name) but it served kolo mee and sarawak laksa. So we had our breakfast there. After that we walked somemore and went to sarawak plaza, tun jugah and centrepoint. I was surprised that the malls here are not like the ones we have in KK. I could walk around each malls in less than 5
